Living In An Angry World

I know I live a very sheltered life. I'm retired and spend most of my time with grandchildren. I go to the store and to church. When I do venture beyond my comfort zone, it seems like a scary world in which I do not belong.

I think of the song, "This World Is Not My Home"

This world is not my home I'm just a passing through
My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue
The angels beckon me from heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.

I forget sometimes that there are so many people that need the Lord in their lives. People who are bitter and angry and have no hope.

My husband would tell my sons, "You are born, life's tough, and then you die."

I would always say, "Don't tell them that." Life is tough, but IT IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT.

We can let our circumstances in life bring us down or we can determine to rise above them and be the best we can be with God's help.

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
